2) that WE (God & I) need to talk. more.
so school started monday, 8:30am. i was late to my first class, and for the last 4 days, i’ve been kinda really busy. like REALLY busy. between not having all my books yet, braiding a friend’s hair, talent show auditions, crushing over this cute guy, ACTUALLY studying, and trying to be a responsible leader for the extra-curriculars i’m involved in on campus, i’m POOPED. . so, like on tuesday night, i started talking to God on my drives home (i live 20 mins from my college, and this week i haven’t been driving with my lil sis much, so it’s just me and God) . so yeah, i told Him (God) that i like this boy, and that i facebook stalked him, and that he dresses like an Urban Outfitters model, and that i wouldn’t mind talking to him again. and that this boy is really cute. . mind you, i met this boy ONCE. ONCE. last thursday, for like 5ish minutes. but that was enough, … so anyways, I told God what I wanted. and He said no. No, i can’t have this boy. . How does God say “no”? By not letting me bump into him around campus. By allowing me to see the immaturity of falling for a guy you’ve only known for 5 minutes. By giving me a wise friend, who said a really profound thing to me today. Something to the effect of this: [this is not direct quote…more just a summary, lol. i have a bad memory]
. . Yes, God still speaks. through people through situations AND most importantly through His Word. . Read Psalm 119 [the chapter He’s been inviting me to read all week] and think about this: a man is only as good as his word, and God’s Word is infallible. God is good.
